    Hello,

    I have a MacPro5,1 Quad-Core Intel Xeon 2.4 GHz Memory: 32 GB.

CS5.5 is faster than CS4 but the video hangs up no matter what. I have been trying to edit a 2 camera shoot. Sometimes I can get it to play once, but after that the screen freezes & only refreshes when I hit pause. I have tried using 320 x 240 proxies & even that doesn’t help. I’ve tried H264, MP4’s & Apple Pro Res.

FCP 7 works OK, but I was hoping to switch to Adobe.

    Any suggestions would be welcome!

    Thanks,

    – Kyle

Have you rendered the footage? Also what videocard do you have?
