    I need some help.

I have a premiere and for some unknown reason whenever i place wav files that i recorded from a zoom recorder into it they corrupt and do not play.

Premiere is changing the format to the following:

24932-bit integer (little endian), Stereo 48.000 kHz (again it’s a wav file)

Before i put them into premiere the format is this: Linear PCM, 16 bit little-endian signed integer, 2 channels, 48000 Hz

After connecting any of these files to Premiere they do not play any where. I had to go back in time machine to pull the uncorrupted file out. Even when I start a new project and bring the uncorrupted file into it, after closing and reopening the project. the file it covered in diagonal lines on the time line and does not open. Adobe is working on the issue, but it’s like pulling teeth, it seems they have not seen this before. I have been trying to figure this out for a week and any help anyone can offer would be appreciated Thanks

I ran them through Quicktime 7 pro and reexported them to .wav after that they worked fine.

    I wear many hats.

Greg I can not begin to thank you enough for taking the time to tell me what you did to fix it.

I did just what you said and it worked like a charm: I downloaded Quicktime 7, and “washed” about 700 files through it and now all the audio works perfectly. (I’m really glad i had the unocorrupted back ups.

I spent the last week on the phone with Adobe who told me, it wasn’t their fault, again wasn’t looking for fault, just direction. Also I looked all over the internet and you were the one with the answer.

Seriously I can’t tell you how much time you saved me!! I owe you big time!!!

I am glad that it’s fixed, but I plan on shooting more with the zoom and premiere, and don’t want to go through this again. Would you recommend just running them through quicktime each time? is this a problem with these two programs? what happened anyway.

Again I can not thank you enough, i was working on that project for six months and though i was going to have to start from scratch!!! thanks for being there!
