Is there a restrictive list of supported 5.1 audio devices? I have a USB-based 5.1 device which works just fine otherwise, and PP does list it in the Hardware Devices / Asio dialogue, but it shows as only 2 speakers.
I would love to be able to monitor 5.1 real-time within PP, as opposed to exporting as multiplexed .wav and listening later.

While I’m at it, I guess there’s no way to convert the LFE channel to a subwoofer output, such that the bass from the other 5 channels (<120hz. , say) is re-directed to it, is there? (I suppose that’s properly a job for playback equipment… but STILL…).

    Thanks!

Okay, figured it out (well, googled it out…), in case you’re interested:

Downloaded the “asioforall” driver, rebooted, selected it as my audio “default device” instead of the PP asio version, and it manages my device showing all eight (it’s a 7.1 device) channels in output mapping!
    (Using Win7 BTW)

    Time to rock’n’roll…
