  Compatible graphics card

  As I’m experiencing playback problems with the Matrox Mini, I’m investigating whether I can get better leverage from the Mercury playback engine by buying a compatible graphics card for my MacPro. I really can’t afford on of the expensive Quadro cards, but was interested in hearing whether anyone can recommend a GeForce card.

  As I understand it, only the GTX 285 is Mac compatible…

  Hi Julian,

  The only two Nvidia cards supported on Mac Pro are the 285 (discontinued) and the Quadro 4000, not a lot of choices I know.

  Thanks Jeff. Live used to simpler when I had the RT.X2 running on the PC…

  Looks like I’m a bit compromised on the Mac with PPro.
