  Media always needs reconnected when loading project

  Hi folks,

  Please could someone help me. It would seem that every time I open an existing project in Premiere 5.5 it prompts me to reconnect the media and render files even though I have not changed the location of the files or re-named the folders which the media is stored in.

  Is this a normal occurance for Premiere (as I come from a Final Cut background)? Is there something in the preferences or settings I have missed?

  This is NOT typified behaviour. Can you please let us know if you’re working on pc or mac.

  Pc is likely you are wooing from an external drive which changes letters as it is not locked to a letter and may be changing which loses the location to assets.

  Mac you could be having sol permission issues which need to be repaired.

  Also provide your OS version.

  This is possibly a bug that has been notified to adobe… which may be linked to the updated Snow Leopard version…
