  quick way to delete space between clips?

  hi all,
  does anyone know a way of doing something similar to what the guy does in this video at 3:30 onwards? I often have a huge amount of 1 or 2 second clips that I want to bring into line, even better to randomise the order of them but I think that’s pushing it a bit far.
