problem with different formats in same sequence
hi all,
been a while since ive posted here and have since made the switch from fcp to premiere 5.5 (and LOVING IT!).
my issue – i recently did some filming using two different cameras: a sony hd cdx150 and a cheap otek brand hd pocketcam.
the format specs as indicated in premiere are as follows:
sony:
Type: MPEG Movie (h264)
Image Size: 1440 x 1080
Frame Rate: 25.00
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.3333otek:
Type: QuickTime Movie (h264)
Image Size: 1280 x 720
Frame Rate: 29.97
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0ive started a sequence optimized for the sony cdx and was hoping to be able to use the other cameras footage from the source library by dropping it in to the timeline but of course im getting different resolution for those clips in the view screen.
because i stupidly started the project without exploring my options, i was hoping there might be a way to do this without starting over and having to convert them all to 1280 x 720 and would love to hear any work arounds from the gurus here on CC.
* i forgot to mention, the final project will be optimized for youtube/vimeo.
does anybody have any suggestions or is there anything further i could provide that might give you a better idea? its really frustrating me as i just want to get on with this and finish the project.
many many thanks in advance,
chris rios
