    Hi,

does anyone here have the latest accademic version of AE or the production suit that can tell me if they are missing any plugins? I just called AE customer service and she said that the accademic version is the same as the retail version but she didn’t seem to be so sure…especially when i told her that in ver. 6.5, few of the extra plug-ins were missing.

    can anyone confirm?

    thanks!

I have the Academic version, and I think it has everything. Of course, I don’t have the full version to compare it to, though. The academic comes with the Cycore effects, Colour Finesse… I think it’s the full thing.

I just received the academic version. Which plug-ins do you want to know about.

I have purchased all of my previous and the current bundle (Creative Suite Production Studio Premium (with Flash 8)) from https://www.needsoftware.com/

They are very reliable I also purchase all of the Total Training videos (bundles) through them also, which you do not need to be a student to receive their discounts – very awesome deal, which I highly recommend all serious learners to pick up.

I have the TT Advanced Adobe After Effects 7 Pro dvd, but I haven’t started on them yet. Been viewing the 6.5 version still (the rotoscoping, keying, and shatter, are all worth the price alone). Photoshop was the first program I decided to work on, which was the smartest thing to do in my case, because you use it in just about every type of application.

from what i’ve read in the past in this forum, the older-6.5 academic version did not inlcude Cycore Effects and Invigorator. I guess that is not the case anymore which is SWEET!

    thanks everyone!

Cycore, Colour Finesse and Keylight are included, but Zaxwerks 3D Invigorator Classic is no longer supplied in any versions.

From what I can tell, the academic version of AE7 is only missing a few text animation and backgroud presets, I got it about a month ago. I head from someone that academic software legally has to be at least a little different than the real thing, so maybe that’s why adobe didn’t include the presets.
