  Codec Issue

  I recently purchased a Toshiba Camileo H30 for some quick and dirty shooting. I got it because it shot in full 1080 HD.

  Unfortunately, Premiere Pro can’t seem to read the codec. Is there a way to import the codec into Premiere Pro?

  Hi Geno,

  It would depends on how new your copy of Premiere is. It would probably have to be at least CS4, support before that was more spotty. Also, make sure your format in the camera is set to H.264, and that you have Quicktime installed (PC side).

  I am working with Premiere Pro 5. And the camera doesn’t have the menu settings to change the format. I was hoping there would be a way to install the codec in the Premiere Pro folder to allow it to read it. I figured out a way to convert it using Super, it is an extra step I would like to avoid.
