Editing in 50fps or 25fps??
Ive recently got a canon EOS 600D, it shoots beautifully and now im looking to edit my footage, because it downloads to my comp in a the native H.264 codec i have to convert it, However i want to know when it comes to edit do i edit in 50fps or 25fps.
Im shooting on 1280 x 720 @ 50fps, then im converting in to APPLE XDCAM EX 720p25 to edit with, but will i benefit in anyway if i converted to a 50fps codec, edited in final cut, render out a HQ self contained quicktime file then converted that to 25fps.
I hope im on the right track here. lol thanks guys, any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you are working in FCP not PPro… Unless you are working with less than CS5…which can handle H.264 from HDSLR natively.
Personally I keep all my source files as they were shot so I have the option to use 50fps in a 25fps project for slowmotion. Making a 50fps clip as a 25fps clip is pointless in my opinion as you just lose editing creative potential from the table.
