  • Ratio sizes from after effects to premiere?

Posted by Mick Hone on June 7, 2011 at 7:56 pm

I’m a newbie to video so please bear with me if this seems obvious.
I have created various clips in Adobe After effects CS3 with the comp size being: HDTV 1080 24

All looks fine in the viewer window when I’ve imported the clips into Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, however when I go to export the entire movie and put the aspect ratio in as 1080 High by 1920 Wide it comes out squashed, and not the same aspect ratio as the original after effects clips?

    Any help would be ace.

    Thanks

    Mick,

Make sure your PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio) is set to 1.

I had the same problem in cc2015, I just clicked the “Toggle Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction” button in ae, in the composition window (where the footage is being displayed) and it fixed it.

Using right click “Replace with ae composition” from pp.
