    Hi,

I’m not sure this is the right forum for this question, but as my video project is in Premiere pro, I’m asking the question here.

I’m having problems keeping the audio of a talking head video in sync when it goes on the web to be played on JW player or Flow player (file hosted on amazon S3).

The initial project in premiere has these characteristics:
    – 1080p (out of Canon 7D DSLR)
    – 23.98 fps
    – audio out of a zoom recorder, stereo, synced in Premiere pro, using audio time units
    – audio is 48 khz initially

    I export using media encoder:
    – 720p AT 23.976 fps
    – audio 192 at 44.1 khz
    – VBR, 2 pass target 0.475, max 10 Mbps

When I upload the result on amazon S3 and play it in JW or Flow player, the audio is out of sync.

I read on the JW player forum that the flash player has an issue with sound and compresses moments of silence. To avoid that, a forum participant suggests to add a track with white noise at -70db throughout the whole video. I have done that in premier. It helped for some videos, but several remain out of sync when played on the web.

Have you guys an idea to have the video play in sync on the web?

    Thanks!
    Guy
