When I preview my project in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, I notice dropped frames, mostly with quick moving subjects or the start of a video. I played around with Mercury for a while, yet turned out unsuccessful in getting the dropped frames or stutter to disappear. Another problem that I have is that when I publish the file, the exact way the preview turns out, especially with stuttering playback and dropped frames, is the exact way the output file is going to look like. I point the culprit to file clutter, yet is there a way to fix it as registry or Adobe Premiere Pro program investigation. I tried setting the playback option from Performance to Memory, yet that didn’t work. May you please help me with this.

What happens if you render preview files for the problematic part of the sequence?
