  no audio

  hello.
  i need your help.
  when i import movies from sony DCR-SX33 Handycam
  it comes as a video clip only. no audio.
  why there is no audio?
  -i can hear the audio if open the file on windows media player.
  – file comes as MPG file
  -olympus camera imports AVI file video+audio

  is it possible that adobe do not support MPG files?

  Depends on which version Premiere you are working with
  and run your file through Gspot and post a screenshot.

  first, thanks for helping.

  i run Gspot and also video and audio showed green codec installed.
  this premier is cs3

  I wanted a screendump to see for myself, codec installed does not mean it will work in Premiere. But wild guess.
  If its AC3 copy the file ad2ac3dec.dll from
  the Encore CS3 directory and paste it into the PPro CS3 root directory
  Re-import the files.
