When using 3D in AE why does a 3d layer below a 2d layer collapse?

To further explain this I have 2 images online:

    https://www.talkingcatproductions.net/cow/

You will see in image 3d.jpg the telephone pole is in a normal position with the above 2d (wires.avi) layer off but in image 2d.jpg with the above 2d (wires.avi) layer on the telephone pole collapses. Why does this occure? I know that if I turn wires.avi into a 3d layer the problem goes away, but I do not want it at a 3d layer. Have I come to the nexus of AE?

    Please help

[Justyot] “When using 3D in AE why does a 3d layer below a 2d layer collapse?”

Because AE was designed this way. This is intentional and not a bug nor human error. sorry, no way around that other than precomposing your 3D stuff and then overlaying the 2D parts.
