Can’t open project file
Hi,
i’m working on a project in Premiere Pro CS5. Earlier today everything was still fine. Then, when i opened the project again after a break, i got this message: “Premiere Pro Debug Event: Premiere Pro has encountered an error. [c:\scully64\shared\adobe\mediacore\mediafoundation\api\inc\Keyframe…” (rest is cut off).
It’s the same for all the auto-save files, and even when i try to import the project into a new one.
Looking at the file in a text editor doesn’t reveal anything weird.
Other projects open fine, so i don’t think my installation of Premiere Pro is broken.
Is there anything else i could try?

Have you installed any plugins recently?
It also looks as if you are working of a network?
You could looks at the log for more info.
You’ll have to go to Control panel > Folder Options and choose show hidden files and folders.
Than go to: C:\Users\{Your User Name}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\5.0
There are a few logs you could take a look at to see where thing went wrong.

Hi,
thanks for the answer. It turned out that Premiere Pro had messed up the project file by replacing periods with commas in keyframe values (a known issue, ref. https://premierepro.wikia.com/wiki/Error:Keyframe.h-138 ).
In the end I managed to fix it manually, although it was lots of tedious work (still less than recreating my work from scratch).
I’m surprised this software has such a serious bug which hasn’t been fixed, though existing since version 2.0 (at least according to the wiki). -

Hi Daniela,
i opened the project file in a text editor and manually replaced all the instances where the periods had been mixed up.
The file is in XML format and the occurences follow certain patterns. Many of these patterns can also be replaced automatically by using regular expressions, i found an example on another site.
But still, it can be a lot of work, and you might be better off starting your project from scratch. To avoid this error in the future, you should set your regional settings to use period (.) as the decimal symbol, while using Premiere Pro.

I am encountering this “Scully64” problem also.
I am using Premiere Pro CS5. It was working all fine, until tonight i opened up a project i was working on, then after i import a new clip.. it comes up this “Scully64” error.I have installed a plugin called “Twitch” recently. But other than that, i have done nothing, and confused as to why this is happening to me.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
