  Wav file is blank Premiere Pro CS5

  When I import wav files into Premiere CS5 lately the waveform is blank and no sound can be heard. The files have sound as I can play them in other programs. The fix I did yesterday was load them into Soundbooth and did a volume normalize, but I don;t want to have to do these extra steps.

  Any ideas?

  So is it that the audio was recorded so low it doesn’t register a timeline waveform??

  Why can’t you normalize the audio in Premiere?
