  Export Email size file under 6 MB challenge

  So I am new to the mac and I have to export an email size :30sec 1080HD spot for review. The challenge is I need it to be under 6 MB and it need to be a format that everyone can use (i.e. .mov/.avi/.wmv). It really needs to be one of the formats mentioned. On my PC I would have just made a .WMV file but the Mac that I am on does not have that option in PP or the Media Encoder or AE for that matter. Just FYI, I do not have a budget to buy third party software. So there is your challenge. It needs to look good (because anyone can compress the crap out of it and get it under 6 MB) and it need to universally usable.

  It’s impossible, at least to the point where I wouldn’t send it to the client.

  I might send out a file that’s a MOV file, encoded to h.264 at 720×1280 and 2500kbps, and that works out to roughly 9mb, not including audio.

  Your other option: Encode it at a decent full res and use a service like yousendit.com. It’s free to send files up to 100mb and they’re stored on their system for up to 14 days I believe.
