Rendering for cinema projection (DCP)
Hi guys,
Here’s the situation: I have a feature film, cut in Premiere Pro CS5, color graded in Premiere CS5 with Color FInesse. For the entire workflow I have been using MXF footage from P2HD camera (HPX-500). At the moment I am about to render it out and give it to post house to make a DCP for test projection in the theatre.
My questions are:
1. I am going to render out DPX sequence? I suppose it will be of sufficient quality to be displayed in the theatre?
2. I was wondering if the lack of color management in Premiere CS5 will influence how my grades will look in the theatre (the color correction and grading was done on calibrated pro monitor).
3. Which will produce a better render for theater – Premiere CS5 or After Effects CS5.
Also would be great to hear suggestions of proper settings for rendering feature from Premiere CS5 for DCP and cinema projection.
Thank you in advance for you replies.
Cheers, David
