  • Speed duration change causes blurry flicker after export

Hi, I have got a small clip that I want exporting ideally in DV PAL as standard. When I export it at 100% speed/duration as normal its fine but when I change the clips speed/duration to 80%, which is what I need for my slowmo effect, after export it seems to go very slightly blurry every few seconds and then back to normal. Does anyone know why this happens and how it can be sorted? Thanks

80% is not easy math for 25 fps. It means you’ll try to run 20 frames each second…somehow presented as 25 fps. each frame is 1.2 frames duration…you’ll have lots of interpolation and imperfect cadence unless you can make time-remapping work better than a straight speed command, or move it into After Effects

Thanks for your reply, it appears I can’t get any percentage/speed/duration change to work less than 100% well with 25fps. I will try after effects.

Has anyone ever solved this problem? I’m having the exact same problem with 80% speed.

In Premiere Pro it looks fine but when I export it, it has heavy distortions.
