  Timeline wont play when HDMI connected

  Hi all, first time poster here. I am experiencing a problem with my HDMI out on my laptop. When I connect the cable to my HD TV, my laptop monitor goes off and it appears in the TV. HD footage looks great, however it will not play. I can scrub through the timeline but when I press play, it will not play. The play button dims as if it was playing but I get no timeline movement.

  Any ideas? I am pretty sure that this worked at one point when i first started using it, but now nothing.

  BTW, it is CS5, Dell laptop with ATI HD 4670 video card
