    Hi,

Does anybody know why Adobe left out of Premiere CS5 the serial RS-422 controller plugin.
I have a USB-Serial adapter with a 9pin-422 cable but can not control a UVW1800 without this plugin.

    Regards,

    “Left out”?

Not sure what you mean by this… Analog deck control is usually handled by the card you install in your machine that handles analog video/audio connections.

Deck “control” without a deck “connection” of some sort isn’t a common need, and therefore this is handled by the I/O card manufacturer (AJA, Blackmagic Design, BlueFish444, Matrox, etc…)

    Thank you Tim,

But I am using a Matrox MXO2 Mini that have no connection RS:422.
I remember that in CS3 or CS4 had an option to capture using a serial option “serial 422 UVW” but it disappeared in the CS5.

I have a Addenda USB-Serial adapter and a 9pin-422 cable that I tested with the program OCX422 and the UVW1800 and work.
