APP CS4 – Exporting 16:9 HDV Edit
Hi,
I`m trying to export a sequence shot in HDV (16:9) to an AVI but the only thing I get is an 3:4 AVI – has anybody an idea what to do?
What export settings do I`ve to use?
Please help!

Try using 1920 x 1080 square pixels as your export settings.

If you are downscaling from HDV to SD PAL you are probably getting a 720×576 anamorphic PAL, the pixel matrix is the same in 4:3 as 16:9 the difference is the virtual pixel size, if you are trying to view on a widescreen tv it may not be seeing a widescreen flag and giving you a slightly stretched 4:3 or you may not be telling the encoder that its supposed to be widescreen.

This 1920×1080 seems to me that I may produce a realy big file. The thing is that I need to put this film of approx. 20min duration on my Homepage. The quality should be fairly high but the file not to big.

In that case, you should be using H.264. Resolution will ultimately be up to you. You could start with 640 x 360 square with a bit rate of 800 Kb/s.
The higher the motion in your footage, the higher the bit rate will need to be.
