Music track in PP CS5 just jumps all around the place?
Hey guys, been working with Premiere Pro for about 1 year now and have never came across this problem till today.
Basically, I’m doing a video and I have a music track the client supplied me with.
So for the first 4 hours everything’s fine, music plays perfectly whilst I preview my video in the timeline, life’s bliss.Go out to lunch, come back, press preview to watch my work so far and the music starts playing normally… then all of a sudden skips to like maybe a minute in the song, then skips to another part, goes back till near the start, and goes near the end and so forth (meanwhile the timeline is still playing normally, scrolling through second by second as it always does). Just the music is going all bonkers, and everytime I take the timeline back to the start and play it from the start it plays the song differently, does anyone know WTF is going on??
And yes when I play the song in itunes it sounds perfectly, like it did when I first started editing it.

It would appear the media cache for that clip has become corrupted. Clean the cache from the preferences an relaunch ppro. Let it all re cache index conform. Then cut again. 😉

Have you installed the Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.2) update? That update fixes a lot of problems with audio.
