  CS5 memory issue

  Why does CS5 warn me of being low on memory when I’ve allowed it access to 6GB (which is available) and it’s using less than 2GB at the time??

  OS X or Windows?. If OS X, I have no idea. If Windows, there’s no doubt in my mind that something’s hogging the rest of your memory – possibly Flash, an improperly closed application, or malware. Rebooting doesn’t fix it?

  Windows 7.

  Yes, a reboot fixes it, but that shouldn’t always be the answer. As I stated originally, there is plenty of RAM available when this happens…no other apps hogging that I can find and malware is very unlikely with the protection apps running on the system.
