  • Preview of Work Area Blown out of Proportion

Story: Did some podcast editing for a client last night at a sequence setting of 640×480. This shouldn’t affect a completely separate 1280×720 sequence I’m using, but I have a feeling it might be the culprit. Essentially, I can drag a 720 clip with the same properties as a 720 sequence, jog/scan through it properly BEFORE rendering the work area for a true preview, and when the preview finishes, the clip is blown waaaaaay out of proportion.

It’s as if my render/playback setting are set to a huge resolution, but I didn’t touch a thing to cause it to do so. Any ideas as to how to fix/return the preview to its regular size???

    Thanks,
    Hunter

Update: So after reading some previous posts, I changed the playback settings in the sequence settings to I-frame instead of Microsoft AVI. Currently it works fine, though it is a bit choppy and not the same. However, I still am looking for an answer as to WHY all of the sudden I have to change my settings to I-frame after using the default DV preview codec for over a year. ???

    Thanks again,
