  Cell phone video flickers when put into HDV project

  So I’m working on an NTSC HDV project that’s 1280 X 720, 59.94 frame rate, square pixels.

  I have a small segment of crappy-but-essential video that needs to go in the project. It’s a 448 x 336 .avi that’s 30 FPS. The video was captured on a cell phone camera, I believe.

  I’m not resizing the cell phone video (I’m putting it in a small box inside a larger frame), but it’s flickering, even after render.

  I tried pre-rendering the cell phone video, tried converting the file type and size, but it still flickers.

  Any suggestions? I’m sure it’s something to do with that my project is not exactly 60 FPS, but don’t know how to fix it. Any suggestions or wisdom?
