framed video when exporting to wmv
Hi,
I have some recorded videos that I want to edit.
Here are the details:
input:
format: .avi
res: 1280×720
data rate: 29420
frame rate: 29,97After I did my edit I used media encoder to export the files. From what I have read on internet, I found out that wmv is a good format for youtube HD movies.
Here are the settings that I modified (rest being default):
export:
windows media
windows video codec9
29,97 square pixelsI got the wmv file (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX6MECH2GhA) but I noticed a problem from second 29 to second 41 of the movie. After that it came back to normal.
Do you know what the problem might be?
What I have tried:
– delete the intro and all the tiles and export just the video files with the logo – the problem disappeared
– instead of adobe media encoder I used export movie – I got an avi file (very big) and with a lower quality that wmv (I can see some noise on the movie) -

Does the video you exported look like this or is it just on the Youtube version?
I use the H.264 settings for my YouTube videos and they always come out looking great.
Settings I use are roughly,
H.264
3.0 Mbps CBR
Match the frame rate of the sequence
Progressive Fields
AAC Audio @192Kbps StereoMy frame size might change based on my footage. I find 1280×720 enough for Youtube. 1920×1080 always feels like overkill and it takes too long to download.
If you want to go to 1920×1080 you will need to set the Profile to 4.1 or above.

It is the video that I added on youtube. But I have several videos that I am planning to add and when I exported them to wmv, they look uglier. This video that I add has ~ 10 sec that look bad, but in the rest of them the entire timeline looks bad. But as I said, if I remove all the tiltes before, they look great.
I will try to export them with your settings.
I am afraid that I am not using the correct editing techniques in PrPro and these are causing this ‘framed sequence’ in my video. (though exporting as uncompresed avi (export/video)) looks OK but with some added noise.

Well, I do not have the h.264 as a format option in the adobe media encoder format. Do I have to install anything for it? I have premiere cs3 v3.0.0 (374)
