  Cs4 will not import .mov’s or .mp4’s off of my JVC gyhm700u

  I am using a macbook pro with osx i guess. When I try to import .mov’s off my camera is says codec missing or unavailable. When I try .mp4’s it says the importer reported a generic error. Please help
