    Hi,

I’ve been trying to convert non-interlaced PAL footage (quicktime) to non-interlaced NTSC footage. Is there anyway within AE to do this without the motion staggering? I’ve been taking the PAL footage into a new comp, changing the comp frame rate to 29.97 and then rendering it out at 720×480. Is this right?

    Thanks

    Hi Gregoire,
This is a frequent question. Do a search in the archives and you’ll find plenty of information 🙂

John’s right, do a search and you will find lots of answers. My only other input is to take into consideration the different pixel aspect ratios that PAL and NTSC. So, the job will require frame-rate conversion and also pixel sapect ratio conversion.
