I need to edit some video for a short music video and want to get the correct sequence settings for editing the video in Adobe Production Premier.

The 550D shots in full HD 1920×1080

I’ve tested a couple out and I seem to get the best results with (if shooting in 30fps):

    – DVCPROHD 1080i60, 29.97 fps, Progressive scan, Frame size locked at 1280×1080 (16:9)

If shooting at 24fps would I just change the fps in the sequence settings to 23.976?
Are these the right settings for 30fps?
Is it better to shot in 24fps or 30fps?

What other tips/advice can you give for getting the best quality video and editing set up for the 550D?

    Thanks, E =)

The camera records H.264, which is a square pixel PAR.

DVCPro is not, so you are adding the burden of PAR conversion on top of the processing (unless you are remdering).

I usually just use the desktop sequence setting, 1920×1080 square (1.0).

CS5 will take the footage in it’s native form…runs like a bandit on a decent system.
