  • Jerky FX1 footage in Premiere CS4.

    Hi,

We shot HDV video this morning on a Sony FX1. Upon capturing in Premiere the footage plays fine on the camera, plays fine in VLC, but in the Premiere timeline is terribly jerky and unusable.

Using the same setting of an HDV sequence 25fps(50i) on another machine and capturing from the same device, the footage plays fine.

Is this likely to be a codec issue? Both machines run Windows 7 and CS4. On the ‘faulty’ machine, Premiere doesn’t seem to Index the clips once captured, but it does Conform.

    Many thanks,

Download HDV split and cut the file up in clips, see if that helps.
