  Program monitor video appears cropped

  I’m using Premiere Pro CS4 4.2.1. Footage shot with Canon Vixia HFS10 in AVCHD. MTS files import just finr and play in preview monitor with normal framing. Same clip shows in Progarm monitor badly cropped. Test output is the same. I’ve tried different NTSC presets 4:3 or widescreen and all are the same. I know it’s something simple and it is driving me bonkers. Can anyone ehlp please?

  The Sequence Preset must match the properties of the source video, especially resolution which is likely your problem. Right click on the video in the Project window and choose Properties to examine the resolution.
