  • Premiere CS4 showing audio but no video when importing XDCAM-EX video

    I recently purchased a Samsung HMX-H100N and have been having troubles with Premiere CS4. Whenever I try to import a SD video I created, all I am getting is audio without video.

    For my project settings I am using the following:
    Available Presets>XDCAM EX>
    1080i>
    XDCAM EX 1080i 50i (SP)

    I have tried several different presets, but I continue to get nothing but audio.

    I also noticed that I can import HD video perfectly fine, but it runs very slow when I am trying to display it within premiere.

    Both of these videos are .MP4 format and they play flawlessly in Quicktime. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    I just posted a similar thread….although, my video will play a few frames…literally maybe 5-6 frames over the entire clip, while the audio plays totally fine. Doesn’t matter if the clip is 2 minutes or 10 minutes.

    I’m importing .mp4 files, NOT HD, just regular 720×480 raw files from my hard drive which came from an SD card. (video source is a VIO POV 1.5 helmet cam).

    I’d be interested if you figure anything out. I found this post:

    but his solution didn’t help me.

    Joe;
    You likely do not have the correct video codec installed on your system. Gspot is a free app that can reveal the codec…likely Motion Jpeg or DIVX. Let us know what you discover.
