cue points dont move with ripple delete
Hi there
I’m just starting to experiment with cue point triggers using Flash, and being fairly used to using Premier, I’d rather use it as a tool to enter my cue points as its a lot more accurate.
I’ve not used markers before, and the problem I have is quite a simple one, and I wondered if anyone out there with more experience with Premier could advise me.
I need to be able to put cue markers in first during the project, and then potentially edit the footage afterwards, so the cue markers stay in the right previously assigned places to mark visual events in the footage after each edit.
I just tried to do a ripple delete, expecting the items and cue markers after the segment being removed to slide left, it worked for the footage clips obviously, but the damned markers stayed put at the original timecode positions, subsequently making them all out of position with the clips.
Is there a way to lock the markers with edits so Ripple Delete works properly with them in Premier Pro CS4?
In case you’re wondering why I want to do this, my reason for this sort of workflow is that there are bound to be lots of changes to footage during the approval process, so I don’t want to have to keep removing and re applying cue points all through after every quick edit ideally!
Anyone got any ideas? Is there a hidden option to toggle markers to follow edits somewhere?
Thanks in advance for any help!
