  Premiere Pro project backup? Moving to another PC.

  Hello and thanks for taking a look.
  I’m currently in a tricky situation which I need some help with.
  My situation is that I’m about to move to another computer, and isn’t able to keep my hard drive.
  The problem is that I have quite a big film project going on, on my current computer.
  Which I’ve put a lot of time in, but still got A LOT of polishing and work to do.

  The whole project itself is rather chaotic. Which I now have learned the consequences of.
  The film, music and photo files I’m using. is from files spread and mixed with files from ALL around my hard drives.
  And therefore hard to find would I have to copy them all manually to an external hard drive.

  The only way I currently know to make sort of film “backup”, would be to export it to a video file.
  My issue is the fact that I wouldn’t be able to edit the effects or clips already put in it.
  Instead I would have a unfinished and unpolished film file.

  Would I instead, just save the project and open that up on another computer. I would get “missing files” wouldn’t I?

  So I’m sort of scr***d? Both ways aren’t I? =/

  So is there anything I might have missed?
  What I’m hoping for is a sort of export or project “backup” file which would have:

  – All the audio, video and photo files/clips in it. For example, when I open. I won’t get any “missing files”
  – All the effects and the configurations I had? Like key frames, opacity, color correction etc.

  In other words, exactly the same project I get when I open up the project on my current computer?

  Is there anything like this in premiere pro?

  Buy an external hard drive and use the project saving tool.
  it copies all the files that you want and it can be transportede to any computer.
  Go to PROJECT
  Choose PROJECT MANAGER
  choose what files you want to save; trimmed files, complete files, etc…
  It will collect everything and you just need to select your external drive for the place to save.
  this was too easy so I hope it is what you are looking for
