  • Exporting an EDL is not maintaining FPS for some reason…

    Hi.

I’m having a major problem with exporting my EDL and having it look the same when I open it again in Premiere. I’m trying to send it off to our group Color Corrector, but the edits aren’t aligning and it’s been extremely frustrating.

The project is set in 23.976, with a main sequence in 23.976 and the cut clips all in varying fps that were rendered to the timeline. I tried exporting the original, and for some reason the CC’er saw that it was entirely screwed up and the timecode was showing frame values above 24.

After that, I tried to remedy the situation by creating a new 23.976 sequence and made a one track dummy video that remained 23.976, but had all the same cuts in it as the original film. The same thing happened with this, where the EDL was entirely screwed up and it ended up loading back into premiere with the clips half as long as they should have been. (The project is 59 minutes long and the EDL that this exported turned out to be 9 minutes)

If anyone has any recommendations on what to do with this, it would be greatly appreciated.
