  Capture format in CS4

  Hello,

  I am desperate! I am just starting to use CS4, and despite the fact that I have read tutorials I don’t seem to get it right.

  I am trying to capture in CS4 footage recorded on a Canon OPtiva40, (NTSC). When I create a new project, CS4 only offers HDV or quicktime as capture format, no DV-NTSC. The sequence settings is not more helpful, as only proposing Quicktime DV NTSC editing mode. Anyhow, the result is that my footage look all pixelated and of very poor quality when I play back the source or render a sequence. The clip file format is mov (which I suppose is the quicktime one). What do I do wrong?

  I would be most grateful for some help

  Google your camera reveals nothing…is it a still camera?

  Hi Mike. Sorry I meant to say Optura40, I must have been really tired when I posted! I got an answer to my question, I was “just” making the mistake of playing the footage in Premiere. I exported the clip both in Flash and Quicktime and played this in both media and it worked very well.
