I’m using Adobe Media Encoder to make flash videos. The source files are Quicktime movies uncompressed from Final Cut Pro. The problem is that AME is not producing any sound on the finished flash videos.

I set up two Watch Folders. One for 640×480, the other set to use source file’s size. Other than that, they are identical. In fact, the second one is a duplicate of the first with only that one change.

At first, my “source sized” watch folder would produce no sound, only video. Now both of them are producing sound-free videos. Has anyone had this problem?

Well, this seems to be an annoying bug that I noticed first on someone else’s machine. And it had to do with using the Dynamics effect (compressor in particular), and possibly the EQ.

Even one clip in the entire timeline with any of these applied causes the issue. I would select the entire timeline, then right click remove effects, check “audio filters”, and see if that solves your issue.

I usually do sound outside of Premiere so I haven’t encountered the issue much, not sure if it’s consistent either.
