    Hello,

I’m able to fully edit my HD video clips and now I’m just wondering what settings to use.

Here is what I’m shooting in.

I have the Cannon hfs-100 (AVCHD):

    Settings:

    FXP (17 Mbps) 1920 x 1080 Full HD Recording

24p cinema mode (recorded at 60i)

I need to know the settings for the project at the very beginning.

I want to keep the picture as perfect as possible.

When I’m exporting for normal DVD what format should I export the video as?

When I’m exporting for Blu Ray what format should I export the video as?

If you need to know anymore information for you to better help me please let me know and I will supply you with what I can.

    Thanks in advance!

    Mark

Which version of premiere do you have? cs4 will have presets for this when you open up a project or sequence, this is just so you have to render as little as possible but does not affect the video quality as far as im aware. for exporting to normal dvd, use the mpeg2 format – CBR 8mbs and high quality – make sure it is set to variable and to keep the export as a single file, select dvd under the multiplexor menu. Blueray is a format i havent played with yet, so cant help you unfortunalty. please let me know if this helps.

    I’m using cs4.

Maybe that is where I am going wrong.

When I’m rendering the videos I’m getting horrible interlacing issues, I mean it’s like there are lines on the movie or something. And it looks really bad when there is movement.

Do you thinking it could be that I’m importing it the right way but when I export it I over working the film or something by choosing a high quality format agian?

It just seems that I cannot figure out how to remove the interlacing issue. I know that my source footage is perfect because I can view, but after I put it through premiere it looks bad.

I will also export in the Mpeg-2 format like you mentioned and see what I get.

    Thanks!
