need help with premiere pro
Im new to premiere and every time I keep have the same problems: 1. my video is skippy or jumpy but the audio isn’t in the screen on the left and i have a really fast computer so it isn’t a ram problem, 2: Also if my video isn’t skipping it freezes in between frames and the sound will play but the video just shows half of two frames if you understand what i mean. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Need more info;
1.Properties of your video (use Premiere).
2. What Sequence Preset did you choose?
3. Your computer specs including hard drive configuation. -
I don’t know if this is enough info but you can see the frame problem on one one the pictures.

Is there a red line above your video tracks at the top of the timeline?
If so, you need to render first. The codec of your capture may be the issue.

The source video is extremely highly compressed. Is it from a still camera or an inexpensive video camera? I suspect that your quad core cant decompress it smoothly. The codec may also contribute to the problem. Download GSpot (free) and open the video in it to reveal the codec.
The recommended minimum quad core for AVCHD is 2.6. -
Ya its from a cheep video camera do u have any ideas on how to fix the compression problem and is AVCHD a codec

AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) is a H264 codec. You might look at Cineform’s Neo Scene to convert your files to an easily editable codec…the file size will increase by a factor of 10!.
