    Hi Guys!

I hope somebody can helpme with this.

    directly to the point:

I cant export a video from timeline to tape through Firewire.

I CAN import tapes without any problem.

But when I need to export to tape, CS3 renders the video, sets the camera to record, but in the camera just a blue screen.

    – The timecode on the cs3 preview dont run.
    – The playback settings are set to 1394 preview AND export, but no image on the camera.

    config.

    Windows vista x64
    premiere pro cs3/cs4
    sony handycam DCR-HC48
mobo: MSI p45 Platinum ( firewire onboard)

I was having a similar problem with a Canon GL2. The solution was to go into sequence > sequence settings > playback settings…, and change the Realtime Playback and Export – External Device: from none to DV.

I remember on my old Sony digital 8 camcorder I used to have a lot of problems with firewire, and I think I remember reading that people who had Sony computers didn’t have the same problems. When I finally switched to Canon on the same computer the problems went away. If you are still stuck you might try to export to another camera.
