  Premiere Pro CS4 exporting in HD – assistance please

  My apologies in advance for the “noobie” question – I tried to find an answer online but had no luck so far.

  I have edited some HD footage in Premiere CS4 and now I would like to export it (via Media Encoder) so to retain the HD properties.

  The video was shot in MP4 (h.264), 1280X720 with the audio in ACC, 48,000 kHz. FPS is 29.97.
  I obviously had to work with uncompressed video files. Now I would like to export the project in a format that would keep the file in hi-def.

  I tried many times but nothing came closer to the original one.
  Size is “relatively” not a problem since I plan to play the rendered file from the hard drive of a media server.

  Could anyone give me some settings for the Media Encoder I could use?

  I’d use Quicktime H.264 using the original project settings. Check the output screen for the correct aspect setting (get rid of the black bars). Set the bitrate to 20,000 kb/s (for full size). You need Quictime Pro to fix the squeezed aspect in QT player. Click apeture checkbox in Window>Properties>Presentation, then save.

  Similar quality is available using Windows Media 9, if you prefer.
