  fast color corrector and importing into AE?

  While working with Premiere Pro 2.0, I performed color correction to the video, including (fast color corrector, levels, and tint). I intend to cut the video in PPro, add some effects in AE, render, and Burn a DVD

  After applying the color correctoin, I wish to edit it in AE. So, I started AE, clicked import, and brought in my PPro sequence. It imported but the color correction is not the same. THe AE timeline contains an adjustment layer with a levels effect. Granted the AE color is similar, but not identical.

  Can you import color correction effects from PPro to AE? Do I need to render in PPro first to keep the same look? If so, how do you recommend rendering in PPro in order to keep quality as high as possible because I would need to render again out of AE.

  Am I importing improperly. I tried copy and paste, and the levels and tint effect transferred over but not the fast color corrector. Again, similar look but not as in PPro.

  Any ideas?

  Yes, you need to render out. But to be more efficient, render out only the sections you want to place FX on, and then bring the AE renders back into PPro when done. Use a codec like MicrosoftDV in both apps to maintain quality.
