split dialogue and music
Is there a way to split up music and dialogue? I need to take out the music out of a speaking clip.

No.
Although there are techniques that will diminish it, none will eliminate it. We have a copy of Wavelab and you can use a couple of filters to get a lot of it out, but the millage varies of course.
In summary, forget about it 🙂
