Please Help! Premiere CS3 re-link scratch disks.
Hi, I really need your help with this. I’m working on a very large project of 6 documentaries in Premiere Pro CS3. As they are very big I divided the project and I work 3 documentaries in one external hard disk (let’s call it disk ONE) and the other 3 documentaries in another external hard disk (let’s call it disk TWO). The problem is that I work in one project in disk ONE, then I close the project and disconnect disk ONE, then I connect disk TWO (which is same brand and model: Western Digital Tera) then when I disconnect disk TWO to work again with the project in disk ONE, Premiere ask me for the location of the files, I give Premiere the location and pops an error message that says something like: This file is video only and it’s different from the original file that is Audio and Video.
So there’s nothing I can do and I have to click in “Work offline” and call every file one by one. This makes me lose a lot of hours (if not days) in something that it was already done before.
The thing is that the Preview files folder, Encoded files folder and Media Cache file folders are still in the hard disk drive, but I don’t know why Premiere can’t re-link. It’s suposed that Premiere has to do it when I call the project, because this makes that when I open the project I lose previews and every link with the files.
So, how do I re-link to scratchs disks and path?
All this happends just because I disconnect one disk and connect another one.IT’S VERY URGENT FOR ME!! PLEASE HEEELP!!
