  Cloud effects

  I’ve been given a script (amateur) which calls for some cloud effects, probably closest to those seen in Twister or The Day After Tomorrow. Not the actual Twisters, but the swirling eye of the storm look.

  I’ve an idea that I might be able to manipulate still photos of real clouds using Photoshop and AE’s Liquify, but I wondered if anyone has a different approach they could suggest?
