working with Motion JPEG Formats. Suggestions?
I’ve been doing military video/photography for a few years and have been working with PP CS3. I normally would prefer to shoot video with a actual camcorder, but 90% of the time I find that carrying anything but a still camera is just not possible, due to the fact that I still have a job to do and try to snap vids as a secondary priority. I do have to take stills for reports etc..
With that said, I have had good success using still cameras that capture motion jpeg in QT 30fps format. The Sony that I used last year had horrible motion capture format that was near impossible to work with and I will never do that again.
So I find my options are to research the best motion capture format available to still cameras. i.e. QT, H.264, etc…
Or find a small camcorder that can take high-quality stills. A tough trade-off indeed.
Any thoughts/suggestions are welcome.
