Audio linking from Video clips Question
Hi All
I’ve just finished an edit in Premiere Cs4 and replaced all the audio with a master file. Since then I made further changes to the edit.
What I need to do is to reconnect the audio to each individual clip. I know in Final Cut Pro if u press F twice you’ll get the clip in the window with the audio attached.
However in Premiere, once the audio is unlinked you only get the video.
How can I reconnect the audio to each clip on the timeline WITHOUT having to click every clip individually and selecting reveal in project (when I do this, it will only show the last in and out pointed clip!)
PLEASE HELP!

The closest I can think of in Premiere Pro is the Match function.
Tab you specific video track
Park you playhead on the in of a clip.
Hit the M key (that’s what it is in CS3 anyway)
This will load the clip back into the source viewer from the project window and park your play head in the source viewer on the match frame.
You can then replace the edit with the sync audio.

Next time don’t replace your original audio, just mute the tracks and place the Master audio on a new track. This will save you the trouble of all the work you have to do now. It’s actually not so bad once you start getting used to it.
With the CTI hovered over a clip, if you press “m” {I have CS3, you may need to check your keyboard customization settings for the right shortcut for MATCH FRAME} the source panel will reveal the clip with the correct in and out points. MAKE SURE THE CORRECT TRACK IS HIGHLIGHTED FIRST- so if your clip is on track 1, track 1 should be highlighted, not track 2 or 3. Because there is no audio associated with the clip, only the video in and out will appear correctly. You now need to snap to the video in point by right clicking on the source monitor timeline, and select “go to clip marker”, and then “video in”. Now set a new in point. Do this with the video out also. Now your audio in and out match the video in and out. You can drag the clip audio to the timeline and place it below the video. If you need to re-link the A/V pair, you need to select them both on the timeline, right click and select “link”.
Unfortunately, I don’t know any other way around this. But it sure beats a re-edit!!
