    Hey All,

As mentioned in my previous post, I have had so many issues with Premiere as of late that it is seriously threatening my business.

I did have some luck with CS3 and although I was never able to open Media Encoder on either HP laptop (one AMD with approved chipset, one Core 2 duo, 2.0gig w/4gigs RAM) I could at least export to MOVIE.

I prefer to use DVD Architect anyway so this was not a problem.

Anyone ever tried…..downgrading to CS3? I may try CS4 later with a different brand machine but HP has been recommended by videoguys and one of the computers has a current, clean Vista 32 install. Other Vista 64. Both home premium.

    Thanks…

    Best,

    Todd

    Hey Todd –

Sorry to hear about that. I’ve got CS4 running great on 2 HP systems – a workstation and a laptop.

You should be able to uninstall CS4 and then install CS3, but I would really recommend do a fresh OS install. Also, I would check this out as well :

Thank you for any and all suggestions. I will check this link.

Back in the old days of Adobe I had time to build my own machines and troubleshoot for months, but not anymore. I think this is why a lot of people are driven to Apple. I have considered it many times and although my experiences with Vegas have been stellar and seamless, this basically means learning to edit again or at least learning the interface which costs me time.

At this point with the list of almost 100 known issues I recently saw with CS4…. Well, I will be buying an HDV workstation fairly soon so I will try it again on that system.

I can edit currently ……I JUST CAN’T GET WHAT I’VE EDITED OFF THE COMPUTER!

Sorry….we’ve been working on this for months and are losing customers. Thanks for the great suggestions.

    Best,

    Todd
